It began with a few artifacts we discovered tucked away in the basement—small reminders of the people who once called this house home. Those discoveries sparked our curiosity: Who were the families that lived here before us? What were their lives like, and how did their stories shape the neighborhood we see today? As we began digging into records and piecing together fragments of the past, we realized we weren’t just learning about this particular house—we were connecting with the everyday history of St. Louis itself.
